If you're not well-versed in strapping, wire buckles are essential. The buckle is designed to bring together your strap's two ends and help maintain tension in the line. Your strapping will only be valid if there is no tension. The buckle will hold the pressure during transit.
How to effectively and adequately use wire buckles
Step 1: Fold one end of the strapping opposite you to form a small loop.
Step 2: Slip the strapping through the middle of the buckle and slide the loop over the open end of the wire on the other side.
Step 3: Take the strap down and opposite you, passing it under the other side of the buckle.
Step 4: After that, you will run the strapping around the package or pallet and back up to meet the buckle again.
Step 5: With the open end of the strap, make another loop – this time, fold it toward you.
Step 6: Pull that new loop up through the strap and slide it on the open tine on the side close to the buckle.
Step 7: To tension the strap by hand, simply pull on the end of the strap. Also, you can use a tensioner tool when more tension is required.
